We will start a study in Ephesians. We have studied this book before all the way back in 2013, but as we saw in our study in Corinthians, there are many parallels with the church today. The letter to the Ephesians is sometimes called one of the four prison epistles. It along with Philippians, Colossians and Philemon were all written around 62 A.D. while Paul was in prison in Rome while awaiting a hearing before Nero. This epistle speaks of the church as Christ’s body with Jesus being the head. In this study we will see both the heavenly calling of the church as well as the earthly conduct. There is no doubt that Ephesians is a powerful book that the church today really needs to examine and then get back to the foundational truths that Paul wrote to the early church that are still truths and absolutes for us today. So let’s see what God has for us as we begin.
