An enlightening and entertaining interview with Susan Donahue and Megan Kathman of Skyya Communications. Susan is a co-founder and managing partner and Megan is an account director with whom I've worked on many stories over the years. Over the course of 31 minutes or so we talk about Skyya's unique approach to training, quality control and forging productive relationships with reporters, how the media landscape has changed over the years and how Skyya has dealt with it and why Megan and I first "met" on social media rather than the usual email or phone call. Oh yeah..surprising discussion about cold calls. I also ask Susan and Megan what we reporters do that ticks them off.
