The display of Christ’s love for us in His death on the cross urges us to act in various ways toward Him and God. “For the love of Christ compels us” (2 Corinthians 5:14) to be devoted to God’s will, obedient to God’s will, to abstain from sin, to present ourselves as a living sacrifice, and to endure to the end.
