Some people just feel more comfortable with the scientific term (NSDR) and the science behind the practice. Hypnosis has worked SO well for ME personally. I teach yoga nidra and hypnosis because I 100% BELIEVE in their benefits for your body and mind! They've benefitted me immensely over the years.
