DARVO is a tactic used by psychological abusers and fascist regimes alike. It stands for deny, attack, reverse victim, and offender. It protects offenders of harm from ever having to take accountability and it confuses both their victims and people outside the situation from being able to place responsibility where it belongs. Calling it what it is is the first step towards healing.
