So I thought I’d write a diary with it.

爱情是永恒的主题嘛

Love is an eternal theme, after all.
但是我并不是每天写

But I didn’t write every day—
而是发生了什么事

only when something happened,

Until I started working,

I wrote much less frequently.
后来改成在云笔记上写了

Later, I switched to writing in cloud notes.
那些古老的日记本

Those old physical diaries
变成了鸡肋

became like "white elephant"—
丢了可惜

It’s a pity to throw away,

but useless to keep.

even embarrassing.
我试着把它们转成电子的

I tried converting them into electronic versions,
也就可以丢掉了
也(yě) 就(jiù) 可以(kě yǐ) 丢掉(diū diào) 了(le)
so that I could finally throw the physical ones away.
