In Series Six of this podcast, we will be taking a look at events in the gulf between 1979 and 1991. This will include events in Iraq, Iran and the First Gulf War.

In this episode:

Firstly, we will go over  the factors which caused tension in the Middle East.

Secondly, we will move into how dangerous the Iran-Iraq war was for stability in the Gulf and who benefited more from the war.

Thirdly, I will evaluate how serious a threat the Iran-Iraq War was to stability in the Gulf.

Finally for this episode, I will go over the question of how important Western involvement was to the outcome of the Iran-Iraq War of 1980–88.
