Mike Chan ( @uncle_mike_80) takes on a journey that sheds light onto who he is and why he is passionate and interested in the things he is. As we all know self awareness is key and he seems to have a good understanding of who he is, at least up to this point in time in his life.
We start off going into the world of podcasting and how a simple invitation to listen and be on a friends podcast became the lead domino to sharing his own ideas, thoughts and experiences. In his later 30's Mike took it upon himself to learn some new skills and head back to university to acquire knowledge in business and real estate. At first it was slightly uncomfortable but a new perspective was formed when realizing he was there to learn what he was excited for and not just checking of the boxes of required courses.
Mike shares his insights on watching first hand people lose everything or close to it during the housing crash as people attempted to keep up with the Jones', who ever those people are. learning from others peoples mistakes and avoiding making moves because everyone around him has helped minimize regret in his life. We wrap up going down memory lane, discuss his introduction to the EDM culture that has been demonized for its excess and wildness.
