Matt is a teacher is a science teacher in the great country of Canada that has a passion to not only inspire others but arm them with the tools to become. He started with a simple task, Gratitude Everyday, a podcast and social movement encouraging others to live life with more gratitude. He wanted to branch out and cover more topics and felt that using the name “gratitude everyday” wouldn't make sense so he re-branded and relaunched. That was the beginning of “gr8ness everyday”
This time Matt branched out into other types of content like video and a more aggressive Instagram presence to supplement the podcast. His YouTube channel has had over 500,000 minutes watched
The secret to his success? “ My first year making videos I looked at as skill acquisition. I wasn't planning on anyone paying attention yet. I just wanted to get good and stay consistent. I wanted to make sure on good days I'm putting out content and the worst days you're putting out content”
We can feel overwhelmed making content for some many platforms but Matt sees podcasting as a potential “passive” content strategy because he can just strip the audio from the videos he makes for YouTube.
Goal setting has been a major theme of highly effective people on the podcast and Matt is know exception. He believes in value based learning and has adopted the 20/20/20 philosophy by Robin Sharma.
His next objective is to find ways to monetize so he can expand his content and services.
