Martin and Dean chat with Lucky Khambule a (South African) former asylum seeker. Lucky lived in Direct Provision in Cork after his arrival in Ireland in 2013. He was involved in organising a strike there protesting the restrictive rules that were enforced around eating times and access to supplies such as toiletries. He co-founded the Movement of Asylum Seekers in Ireland (MASI) which advocates for greater rights for asylum seekers and calls for the end of Direct Provision. We are also treated to an amazing poem about unity and solidarity by Martin. We Are One.
