In this episode we continue our series on the 7 deadly sins with a focus on embracing our anger. So many women struggle with anger. It isn't a "happy" emotion, so many of us think it is wrong to feel anger. We are told it is sinful, and as a result we repress it or shove it down. We don't admit we are angry when we really are. Or we SAY we are angry and frustrated, but we talk about it, rather than "FEEL IT. In this episode I will share a personal story around the power of embracing my own anger and how embracing your anger can transform your life.
This series has been inspired by doing work on embracing our shadow emotions. The goal is not to get rid of the darker emotions. It is only when we accept all emotions within ourselves as a part of us, that we can be whole. We have been looking for the missing pieces outside of us, or burying them pretending they don't exist, and what we need is to embrace all of the truth within us. In our religious culture, we have been taught that we should not want or need more in our lives. The truth is there is nothing wrong with being grateful for what we have AND wanting more. Desire and the wanting of more, is what creates our future.
