Dr. Ankur Verma is an Emergency Medicine Specialist who lives and works in New Delhi, India. He is also following the carnivore diet and is the host of the Desi EM Project podcast.
After appearing on his podcast, I had to invite Dr. Verma on mine to share his own health journey and his experiences as an emergency room physician (and now carnivore doctor) in a country that has a large population of vegetarians.
We discussed how he came to this way of eating and the results (including blood work that he has seen). We talked about the patients he is seeing present in his emergency room and what changes he has made to try and help improve their metabolic health. We also got into myths surrounding cholesterol, the difference between intelligence and wisdom, what he eats in a day, his own podcast and much more.
