Dionne Searcey is an American investigative journalist at The New York Times, formerly West and Central Africa Bureau Chief. She won the 2020 Pulitzer Prize, a citation by the Overseas Press Club, the Michael Kelly Award, the Gerald Loeb Award, as well as a nomination for an Emmy Award. Her book “In Pursuit of Disobedient Women” was published in March 2020.
