Change is inevitable; our kids know this, and sometimes just hanging onto what is normal is very important to them.
The change that happens in that case? Your child becomes hardened on the outside, developing a crisp shell against critique. Discouragement follows. Depression and the thought of "giving up on the instrument" may come quickly.
Today's episode grabs the "R" of my PEARLS system and encourages us to get our children to take a step forward with the critique received from themselves, you the parent, or others.
