                “Sovereign Grace” (Acts 13:42-52)

Hard Hearts (vv. 44-47)

Revived Hearts (vv. 48-49)

Ro. 9:14-16, 19, 20-21a 14 What shall we say then? Is there injustice on God's part? By no means! 15 For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” 16 So then it depends not on human will or exertion,[a] but on God, who has mercy...  19 You will say to me then, “Why does he still find fault? For who can resist his will?” 20 But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, “Why have you made me like this?” 21 Has the potter no right over the clay,

Ro. 8:29-30 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.

Jo. 10:26-27 26 but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

1 Cor. 1:23-24 23 but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

2 Thess. 2:13 But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the firstfruits to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth. (Eph. 2:1-5, 8-9)

2 Cor. 4:4,6In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God... For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

1 Pet. 1:1a-b,3  Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who are elect exiles ... Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

Jo. 6:37, 6537 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.....65 And he said, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.”

17:6a-c, 12 I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word.... While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction,

Eph. 1:4 - he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before himIn love; (Ro. 9:14-23).
