Description

As promised, Sofie's Choice this week is her once a month child abuse case. On May 12, 2013 five-year-old Fiona Bourgeon was declared lost by her own mother, Cecile on national television. The little girl lived with her family consisting of her mother Cecile, her younger 2-year-old sister Eva, and her mothers boyfriend Berkane in Clermont-Ferrand, France. Cécile Bourgeon and her companion make believe on television in a kidnapping before confessing four months later that Fiona was beaten to death before being buried. The girl's body was never found and due the couples prolonged drug use, they no longer remembered the place of burial.
