Sofie's Choice this week is the mysterious not so well-known case of Wilma Montesi, or 'The Montesi Affair' as it would be dubbed by local Italian Media. Join us as we pull a switcheroo with Mike tapping Gabbi in, in the middle of this week's episode on the sly.
A beautiful woman who was due to be wed later that holiday season, who had dreams of becoming an actress in the early 50's Italian Cinema; took a sad turn when her body washed up in the Spring of 1953 on the shore of Torvaianica, a fishing town nearly 40 km (or almost 25 miles for us here state-side) from her home. Showing little to no signs of being drowned and having no signs of physical or sexual abuse, how did she end up washed ashore here? How did she actually die? We may never know, but grab your mint chocolate chip ice cream kids, as we dive in and try to find out what happened to this young woman.
