From the chapter: God of Israel caused King Pul of Assyria (also known as Tiglath-pileser) to invade the land and take away the people of Reuben, Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh as captives. (I could not find the reference during the podcast, but Tiglath-pilesar was that King of Assyria that ruled around 747 - 727 B.C. He carried away the north tribe of Israel into captivity around 734 B.C.)
