We all know that organizations and agencies are doing good work around food charity: giving food to those who need it. However, what I confronted within the food charity model was shocking, and saddening, and put me on a quest to make sure it is more well known about the politics and governance of food, which is used as a resource, commodity, and necessity for survival.
My hope is that you will join the conversation and share your thoughts, and hopefully, we can change the climate and parameters around how food is distributed and redistributed so that all have access to optimal survival.
