Try not to get too upset, but I’m late for my sunset stroll. So rad 70’s cinephiles, today we dive into the 1978 political thriller the China syndrome, starring the fierce Jane Fonda with Jack Lemmon, the guy who romances the Stone, the guy from the oatmeal commercials, and of course the dad from teen wolf. Jane is a news reporter who is not taken seriously because of the patriarchy in general and her boss in particular ( I think her boss was the guy from return of the living dead ( I’m not checking). Her and her crew do a puff piece on nuclear power and happen to witness and film an almost nuclear meltdown. The cool kids wanna let the people know n the nuclear folks don’t, but how far will they go to stop the truth. Also the working class gets treated like shit.
