Ug, the remake is streaming, makes no sense why they would remake this, it’s pretty perfect as it is. It doesn’t need any CGI spaceships, seems such a waste of resources to re-make. Maybe they gutted all the political undertones like in Rollerball. I don’t like re-makes in general, but I’ll watch it and report back.
Now that that’s out of the way, today your decade under the influence podcast crew watches and reviews, (you guessed it) Going in style 1979, starring Art Carney, Lee Strasberg, George Burns, and the guy who gets his arms ripped off by an alien tummy in The thing 1982. Directed by Martin Brest, yes the guy who did GIGLI 2003 Starring Bennifer. He did some great movies too.
