It’s an honour to be joined by an old friend and Brisbane’s own, DJ Dcide for this the 41st instalment of Beers, Beats & The Biz.
After a few weeks off we are back like we never left and we’re talking the early 90’s along the Beenleigh line with a former wild style technician, DJ and label-head, DJ Dcide.
From Gav’s early years growing up in Woodridge on Brisbane’s Southside as a member of THC, TBK and DIE to raising kids, spinning wax and designing sets in the corporate world - we talk that talk.
This episode focuses on Dcide- the writer and DJ, whose technical wildstyle pieces adorned trains and tracksides throughout the 90’s and whose DJing would see him grace albums, stage’s and radio.
We talk pioneering writers, THC, Hype Magazine, Woodridge and Logan City, Phat Tape Hip Hop Show, 750 Rebels, design and creativity, running a label and the various releases along the way - too many to list here.
Thanks to DJ Dcide for his time and all his contributions.
We are live now on iTunes, Soundcloud and Spotify: download, rate, subscribe, comment, share and thank you for tuning in to Beers, Beats & The Biz.
