It’s an honour to be joined by Australia’s only crowned DJ champion and Lyrical Commission grandmaster, DJ J-Red for the 54th instalment of Beers, Beats & The Biz.
Very few people have mastered all facets of their craft like J-Red, from radio and club DJ to battle and scratch DJ, a selector of records, group member and mentor, J-Red has it all covered.
We get into all of it, from growing up a few streets from Prowla to developing his own routines and executing them on the world stage, J-Red let’s us in on a few his secrets and and what motivates him to stay competitive.
We talk joining Lyrical Commission and the impact of the group, as well as the making of The Stage Is Set and Murderous Metaphors and the subsequent tours - there’s random rap talk and stories for days in this episode.
