EVERYBODY LOVES A WINNER, RIGHT?

Elementary school holds some of the greatest memories. The best day ever was always field day, when you knew you were going to school to play! But school days were just plain normal. Except, one special bright spot one good old game of "kickball". Playing kickball at P.E. held some of the greatest moments and greatest memories in my elementary school days. It was there I learned to be a winner and would surprise myself. I tried different shoes, and even wore shorts if it meant I’d be better at kickball. With a full school year with the same group of classmates we got a good idea of who was athletic, could kick the ball far, and you better believe that's who we wanted on our team. Gersan, Wismy, Wendell, Fedner those kids were bright! I remember their names like we were just playing kickball yesterday with no care in the world for the South Florida heat.

Winning was fun!

After countless games of losing and nail biters, it didn't take long to figure out who to partner up with if you wanted to win. Besides, P.E. only lasted thirty minutes and when our P.E. coach blowed that whistle it was time to go in.

From a very young age I wanted to surround myself around winners. Being in the wedding industry for about six years now, I’ve met some amazing people a long the way. But when you least expect it, you come across people that are so special. The type that stick out to you and aspire to partner up with. There winners.....

In kickball, the kids you want on your team are the ones who kicked the ball the farthest. Why? Well because us not so great kickers have a chance to touch home base and join in on putting some points up on the board. And after meeting Maggie after a email introduction, we went on to work side by side on a few projects together. I've known Maggie for close to two years now and we discussed starting the podcast last year. When the year started(2019) it felt right to team up and start producing episodes.

Maggie Rodriguez is a a well seasoned thirteen year professional that I learn from and glean inspiration. But she’s also someone that I really mesh well with.

The Behind The Veil Podcast was created to share raw authentic off the cuff wedding planning advice. With plenty of episodes on wedding photography coming soon! But I love weddings as a whole and not just the photography aspect. I have invested into this podcast because of this love.
