In the early morning hours of March 18, 1990, most of the city of Boston was stumbling out of bar celebrating St. Patty’s Day. But on that night, two men dressed as Boston Police officers demanded entry into the Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum. Within 15 minutes they subdued the two guards and then took over an hour to steal 13 works of art. To this day none of the pieces have been recovered and the thieves have never been found.
