Description

We think that we are a good mom if we do what we are "supposed" to do. And we come to this conclusion because that's what our parents taught us with their positive affirmations of "good girl!" when we did what they wanted us to do. And we continue to do that to our kids. When they cooperate we tell them good job. When they are getting along and playing nice we label them as a "good sister!" So of course we label ourselves that way also. Because surely if we just lost our temper, we are no longer good. right?... Wrong!

I'd argue that who you ARE always IS. Always. No matter what, even if, and especially when.

You ARE Good. And you ARE a Good Mom. AND you do things that are not good sometimes. You do things that are out of alignment with who you truly Are.

And that's OK!
