Woke up by the storm and rain, got up and had a big breakfast with the locals. Some hills ahead with the wrong extra warm outfit, headed west on the road and two cars nearly crashed into me, very close call. Fine houses along the way belonging to the Amish people.
Slow puncture on the bridge and all my stuff got into the river, very stressful. Got to a petrol station and got all the food and drink I could have, starved. Lovely help offer over the phone by Noreen, so nice! Got to the Warmshowers hosts, lovely couple who cycled around the world. Down to the last tube, after two tubes got punctured, what a relief.
