That's a tough one. For so many of the experiences that have molded us feel immovable. And it's true, they are a part of us. But must they determine every bit about us? Must our futures be dictated by events that happened, oftentimes long before we had any control over our lives?
Lori Pedrick, a local photographer, has created a project giving voice to the experiences of her clients. While I love reflecting the beauty I see in my clients, Lori allows her subjects to contribute their voice in a very real way, providing short essays in their own words.
I wish I could have included our entire conversation, all 90 minutes of it! But here, I hope you enjoy the sincerity of Lori's vision.
