Nikki has been teaching Pilates for over 14 years now. A Southern California native, she recently moved to Northern California after spending 10 years living in Seattle, WA. During her time in Washington, she owned & operated (4) Pilates studios. Her original studio was a labor of love called Intimate Pilates, the other (3) were part of the Club Pilates Franchise. She was the Grand Prize Winner for the 2014 Club Pilates Franchise Giveaway and was selected over 47 other participants nationwide. After years of dipping her toes into the Pilates Franchise business model, she decided to go back to her original roots of working with smaller group classes in a more intimate setting. She is excited to safely help clients dive deeper & further strengthen their Pilates Practice with the new freedom to teach the entire Pilates repertoire.
In addition to her Pilates Certifications, she has taken an extensive amount of Continuing Education Workshops to keep her Pilates & Fitness Knowledge current with industry standards & trends. Including a 15-hour apprenticeship program with Shane Belau of Bodycenter Studios (LMP STOTT PILATES® Master Instructor Trainer) covering topics not found in textbooks, she gained a more in-depth understanding of injury-related conditions such as hip/knee replacement, lumbar disc injuries, breast cancer rehab, and more.
She was also a Pilates Master Trainer/Educator for Club Pilates for 5 years. In addition to training her own staff, she traveled around the United States to various Club Pilates locations to lead teacher training. She eventually resigned from this position as it no longer aligned with her core beliefs.
Prior to becoming a Pilates Instructor, she had a 20-year career in the Aerospace Industry. She left that career at the age of 40 to pursue her path of teaching Pilates full-time. For a short time, she was juggling both. She attended all the Pilates training while working a full-time job & having a newborn.
