Description

Episode 6 - When One Door Closes, Another One Opens.

We can't control what happens around us. What we can control is, how we respond to the situation.

When things don't go as planed, or the way we expected its easy, and common, to think that it's a total disaster. End of the world! This mindset can lead us to behave in ways, and say things, that don't benefit us and our cause.

In these situations you can CHOOSE how you respond.

You could either go down the path of believing there is nothing that can be done to solve the problem and bury your head in the sand.

OR

Address the issue head on, be resourceful, stay optimistic, and do your best to resolve the issue. Your best is all you can do.

When you take the second option and surround yourself with people who support you, then opportunities you didn't think were there become apparent.

In this episode, I explain how often, especially in construction, things can go wrong. When things go wrong, you can't bury your head. When you start resolve the issue and explore the opportunities, new doors can open that you didn't expect.

Key topics:

- When things go wrong,

- Surround yourself with supportive people,

- Be honest and meet issues head on, and

- Do your best.
