Description

Thanks for wandering through nature with me. Today I am in the field with my lovely wife, counting birds for the Christmas Bird Count. Bev and I are driving around the East Aurora, NY area counting birds for this citizen science program. The CBC is an Audubon bird count that started more than 100 years ago to help scientists to discover how bird populations are doing.

During the episode I talk about what the CBC is all about, the history of it, how to participate and much more. Join us on this fun wandering through nature

I apologize for the poor sound quality of this episode. Between the noisy snow tires, the mike rubbing against the mirror and the road noise around us, it was difficult to edit all the background noise out. I am working on better methods of recording in the car so that this will be better at next years CBC.

Please send me a message if you have topic ideas for future episodes.
