Marty McNair knew he had to come off the sideline and get into the game shortly after the unimaginable. Their son Jordan passed away after he suffered from heatstroke during an organized off-season team workout during his freshmen season as a football player at the University of Maryland College Park. Along with his son’s mother Tonya Wilson, they started The Jordan McNair Foundation. They knew there was a need to educate the sports community about the issue of heat-related sports illnesses and injuries.
