Both routines and rituals are essential to achieve happiness because we need some sort of structure in our lives to keep us grounded. The difference is that routines get boring after a while and rituals create new energies, deepen our personal connections and inspire us to wonder or at bare minimum to be creative. For today’s example were going to use the example of brushing your teeth. Yes some people brush them before they eat breakfast and others brush them after they eat breakfast but that’s not the type of routines I am talking about here.
