Want to be happy? There is no magic pill..

The reality is that our brains are conditioned to sabotage our day to day interactions and in fact hinder us from being happy.

Now even though there’s no magic pill to being happy what if I told you there is a type of intelligence that has been scientifically proven to be the best predictor of how happy we can actually be relative to our own personal human potential.

This concept of Positive Intelligence or PQ not only impacts our ability to be happy but it can also increase our potential to produce meaningful work.

PQ simply put is the measure of our brains positive mental muscles (aka the SAGE) versus the negative ones (the Saboteur). Think of the sage as the positive voice of certainty within your or our wise mind and the saboteur as the negative voices in your hear or our survival mind.

Unlike our IQ but similar to our emotional intelligence (EQ) the positive muscles in our brain can actually be strengthened and developed over time with specific exercises.

Working towards strengthening our positive mental muscles will allow us to develop a more alert yet calm, balanced, sensory aware and creative mindset.

So how can we strengthen our PQ Muscles?

1.) Discover your primary Saboteur and begin weakening it; essentially limit the voices, thoughts and impulses put out by your survival mind.

*** You can take an assessment to discover you primary saboteur at https://www.positiveintelligence.com/assessments/ ***

2.) Strengthen your sage and connect deeper with that positive voice of certainty within you; this is done through the power of perspective and will allow you to tap into the 5 positive superpowers of our brain.

3.) Do 100+ daily PQ reps to strengthen your PQ muscles. Essentially this is consciously pausing for 10 seconds at any moment in your day to become completely aware of any one of your 5 senses for the entirety of those 10 seconds.

In today’s podcast episode we will go more in depth on this concept of our negative versus positive mind and I give actual examples of how you can strengthen your PQ muscles.
