Rosalind
“People said it would hurt because I wasn’t used to it, but it just didn’t feel right”
Rosalind discusses her journey before and after becoming a mother. Reflecting on how the pandemic affected her ability to access support services and socialise with other new mothers and discussing how trusting her body, and her baby, was key to overcoming challenges in breastfeeding.
“In the early days, I was quite disconnected from feeding my second child because it was so painful and reminded me of how difficult labour had been. It wasn’t until he was about six months old that I started to really enjoy breastfeeding and felt present during the feeds.”
