January 17, 2023: Today I am grateful for the plethora of food options available to me. My wife and I have been looking at new dietary options as part of our New Year’s resolution, and we are fortunate enough to be able to be picky about different food items and sources. We’re able to not only have so many options but we’re also able to turn away certain choices if they don’t meet our standards of sustainability and nutritional values. I know that not everyone in the world, in fact the overwhelmingly large majority, do not have these options. I am so grateful that I not only live in a country and in a community where I have this, but my job provides me with the resources to be able to have these options available to me.| Fun fact: the All-Father himself lost his eye because he voluntarily plucked it out. While he was younger he was out on one of his many adventures, and one of them brought him to the legendary Tree of Knowledge. The dragon that guarded the tree demanded a sacrifice for access, so Odin plucked out his eye under the belief that no price is too high for knowledge! | Today we celebrate many birthdays of Disney legends, most notably are the legendary Betty White herself and the original great voice: James Earl Jones! | Today Stan Lee tells us his motivation behind all of his great Marvel cameos, and the posthumous feud he had with Alfred Hitchcock.
