January 15, 2023: Today is the last day I will be working with my current partner, because I am moving to a new shift with a new partner and a new team. “Parks” has been the best partner I have ever had. I am so grateful for our time together. He’s at the top of his paramedic class, incredibly intelligent, hard-working and dedicated to our trade, and it is without a doubt that working with him has made me a better paramedic overall. I didn’t expect to leave him so soon but an opportunity came up that will be better for my overall work life balance. I’m really gonna miss working with him, but I know we’re both gonna be moving on to bigger and better things. But as it’s our last day, and yesterday we literally saved two lives, I just want the world to know how grateful I am (and what a privilege it has been) for having been his partner. | Today’s character is an excellent metaphor for self-confidence. It’s amazing the potential we’re able to unlock it ourselves when we just believe in ourselves.
