January 16, 2023: Today I am grateful for modern medicine! Today is my wife’s anniversary of an experience that changed her life forever. I am so grateful for modern medicine because it made it possible that she is still here with us today! I think too many of us take our health for granted until it’s far too late for ourselves or when a loved one is impacted directly. Modern medicine is far from perfect, and as a healthcare worker I can see how broken it appears to most people. But there have been more developments and advancements in the last 50 years then in thousands of years before. If you or someone you know has been impacted by horrible disease, and they’ve been saved by some kind of new technique or approach, be sure to give thanks today because tomorrow everything could change. | Even though today’s character is a fan favorite of some children, Piper and I believe Brendan Fraser portrayed a Tarzan like character much better than the Disney movie. We’re just thankful Phil Collins did the soundtrack! | Happy birthday to Lin-Manuel Miranda! As far as Piper and I are concerned, the man who created Hamilton gets a pass for life on anything he does. | Today Walt tells us the meaning behind Main Street USA, and the next time you’re there try to take a harder look at the subtleties it has.
