In this episode of Public Servants Announcements, I talk with two current players at BigTyme Sports Preparatory Academy, Isaiah Stewart and Jeff Bogg. We start by talking about why they chose a preparatory school over public school. They talk about how it’s a sacrifice mentally, physically, and developmentally. Then they talk about their coach, Mike Bables, and how he has changed their lives through the success of BigTyme. What goes into being an elite athlete? They answer this question. Then they talk about distractions, how being at a prep school helps them avoid them, and how they have matured. Jeff gives us a little backstory when talking about how he doesn’t want to play professional basketball due to the wear and tear on the body.
