In this episode of Public Servants' Announcements, we talk to my very first Principal, Mrs. Jenny Roberson. This is a great follow up to last week's episode, because these two people worked so closely together. Mrs. Roberson, I had her as Ms. Johnson, was my very first principal. We talk about her start in education, and how she ended up becoming the first principal of a magnet school in Garland. She talks about hiring the staff, making the adjustment to using and implementing technology into the everyday of school, and how much technology has changed since then. She gives us a little insight on what it was like interviewing teachers, and she talks about how and why she switched schools. I asked her what it was like being the Principal during 9/11, and she talks about retiring during COVID. A lot is mentioned in this 63 minutes, so strap in and give it a listen.
