Episode 15 of the LAW Podcast Series features Natalie Tymchuk, Partner at LAW member firm Emery Jamieson and also a member of the EXCO.

Natalie joined Emery Jamieson in 2004. She practices in the areas of administrative law, arbitration/mediation, and employment law.

Natalie advises and represents numerous administrative, government and corporate entities on matters involving statutory/regulatory processes and administrative appeals, including in such areas as professional regulation, government programs, human rights, and information/privacy.

Natalie is an arbitrator and mediator with experience in a variety of labour/employment and human rights matters. She has also taught mediation courses.

In employment law, Natalie assists employers and individuals with legal issues in the workplace, including:

• Drafting and reviewing employment agreements, policies and procedures;
• Advice on workplace issues and dispute resolution – including representing clients in court/administrative proceedings, negotiations and mediation – arising in: workplace conduct, discipline and termination, human rights, disability and accommodation, substance use, confidentiality, non-competition/solicitation, employee information and privacy, the implementation of workplace health & safety measures and various other areas.

Natalie has also served as senior legal counsel with Alberta Justice in Resolution and Court Services, where she provided advice and services relating to access to justice.
