Congrats to the Temple Owls for winning the 2,000th game in school history last night beating Davidson 62-61. They become just the 6th program in NCAA history to accomplish the feat. The Flyers lost to the Red Wings 6-4 in Detroit last night.

On this day in 1948 the Eagles won their first NFL Championship, beat the Cardinals 7-0 in blizzard conditions at Shibe Park. Steve Van Buren scored the lone TD but almost missed the game thinking it wasn't going to be played and going back to bed.
