On this day in 1976 the NBA All-Star game was played at the Spectrum.  The East won 123-109 behind MVP Dave Bing of the Washington Bullets.  Doug Collins and George McGinnis represented the Sixers in the game.  The NBA, NHL, and MLB all played their all-star games in Philly due to the Bicentennial.  We also spotlight Earl Lloyd who was the first black player to play for the Syracuse Nationals who moved to Philly in 1963.  He was also the first black player to play in an NBA game ever.
