On this day in 1994 Steve Carlton was announced as a MLB Hall of Famer. Carlton was at his best with the Phillies, spending 15 years winning 241 games, striking out 3031 with a 3.09 ERA. He won 4 Cy Youngs and helped to lead the Phillies to the 1980 World Championship.
