On this day in 1950 the A's were outscored 28-2 in a doubleheader against Cleveland. Cleveland set an AL record with 14 runs in the first inning. Also on this day in 2007 the Curse of Billy Penn was lifted when workers put a William Penn Statue on top of the Comcast Center.
