The Phillies were smoked out last night but the show must go on. On this day in 1989 the Phillies overcame a 10-0 1st inning deficit agains the Pirates. Pirates broadcaster Jim Rooker famously said if we lose this game I'll walk home. Well I don't need to tell you what happened. Rooker did eventually walk from Philly to Pittsburgh that offseason.
