It's Tuesday so it's motivation/positivity day and we need it in Philly. Two huge losses as Dikembe Mutombo and Pete Rose both passed away yesterday. We try to put a positive spin the Eagles and the Phillies will play the winner of the Mets/Brewers series.

Our Red October Game of the Day is Game 1 of the 1993 NLCS. The Phillies won 4-3 in 10 innings over the Braves.
On this day in 1980 the Phillies beat the Cubs 5-0 to keep pace with the Expos. Steve Carlton pitched a complete game 2 hitter to go over 300 innings for the season. He is the last MLB pitcher to go over 300 innings.
