Can you think of a single time that worrying has solved a problem in your life? I can't. It's our own thoughts that disturb our peace, even more so than situations themselves. Our thoughts keep telling the story. Our thoughts keep the past active in our present. My own personal thoughts tend to go straight to the worst case scenario, never to the best possible outcome. So how do we out-think this subconcious program of negativity? Spoiler alert...WE DON'T!
Insert meditation. Why do we meditate? To stop our thoughts? Not at all. Insert gratitude. Why be grateful? It can literally propel you into positivity. I briefly discuss applying Buddhist practices and principles to end the suffering of addiction (Recovery Dharma) and touch on the 4 Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path. Being wise to end our own suffering.
