After a long drive back from BC I found that seemingly EVERY campsite was full from Kicking Horse all the way through Canmore....I have fond memories of Lac Des Arcs from a few years ago so threw once last Hail Mary pass in hopes I had a place to rest for the evening.
Luckily I was admitted into LDA's last campsite - this site is a "reservation only" so thanks to the crew for allowing me to camp without a reservation!
My luck continued when I was treated to the best sunset I've seen all summer (check out the picture attached to the episode).
Great site, well run..the only critique is the lack of walking trails around the site itself. But all in all - a great little site in a transitional spot en route to Canmore, or on your way out of the Park.
