Description

In this week’s sermon Pastor Eric gives a sermon “in character” as Moshe, or Moses, and offers a contemporary take on the biblical Exodus story. Moshe explains the difficult transition from slavery in Egypt to freedom in the wilderness, focusing on the people's anxiety and subsequent longing for the perceived security of enslavement. He emphasizes that true liberation is mental and spiritual, not just circumstantial, noting that it took forty years to get "Egypt out of the Israelites." Moses (Pastor Eric)  uses the story of the manna (daily bread) to illustrate God's provision and the people's struggle to trust in abundance over scarcity, urging us to recognize that our own lives are also an ongoing Exodus journey. The sermon concludes by introducing the Hebrew word "Diyenu" (enough for us) as a reminder of God's adequate provision.
